Course overviewThis project management course covers project management in the context of IT projects. The course teaches how to manage projects rather than how to use a planning tool or how to pass a project management exam. The course teaches the principles and techniques that underlie project management methods. Who should attendThis project management training course should be attended by anyone with a leadership role in an IT project - team leader, user leader, project manager, etc. The course is suitable both for IT people and for non-IT people who are involved in IT projects. The course covers how to manage IT projects - it does not delve into IT technology or use IT jargon. Non-IT people will feel equally at home. Since this project management course covers the principles upon which PM methods are based it is applicable whatever project management methodology your organisation uses. Experienced project managers who are new to IT projects will also find this project management course useful.
